TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
Here is the thing that requires honesty. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before funding.
